The Technology Transfer Center (Shreveport) was established to facilitate the transfer of innovative ideas and technologies out of the research laboratories of Louisiana Tech and into the market place. By capitalizing on relationships and collaborations between Government, Industry, and Academia, we aspire to develop and deliver high technology products and systems to a wide range of customers in Shreveport/Bossier, the State of Louisiana and the Nation.
The Enterprise Center houses the Louisiana Tech Technology Incubator (LTTI) and the Technology Business Development Center (TBDC). As the primary business support and development outreach arm of Louisiana Tech University, the Enterprise Center is designed to facilitate and promote the growth of new and existing ventures of the innovation enterprise along north Louisiana's I-20 corridor.
The Center for Entrepreneurship and Information Technology (CEnIT) has been established collaboratively by the College of Business and the College of Engineering and Science to serve as a catalyst enabling a community of faculty, students, and external partners to produce innovations in IT and entrepreneurship that enhance the regional economy. The mission of CEnIT is to create an innovative entrepreneurial culture by enhancing the education of students in Information Technology and Entrepreneurship, promoting the development and commercialization of Information technologies generated by university faculty and students, and providing leadership in Entrepreneurship and Information Technology outreach activities that will support economic development in the state.
The Trenchless Technology Center (TTC) was created to promote research, development and technology transfer in the trenchless technology industry. In addition to its research activities, a strong effort has been focused towards the education of engineers, contractors, government agencies and others about the availability and capability of trenchless methods for the solution of difficult underground infrastructure problems.
Since its inception in 1991, the Institute for Micromanufacturing (IfM) has been in the forefront of integrated multidisciplinary research and education. Starting from its original micromanufacturing emphasis, the Institute’s research and educational efforts have greatly grown and expanded in the areas of nanotechnology, biotechnology, biomedical nanotechnology, environmental technology, and information technology. The IfM provides faculty, students, external collaborators, and users with a wide range of nanotechnology and microtechnology resources, enabling research and development of novel micro/nano scale systems for biomedical, biological, environmental, chemical, information technology, and other applications.
The Louisiana Tech University Technology Business Development Center (TBDC) provides information, counseling services, and educational opportunities for beginning entrepreneurs, emerging business ventures, and existing businesses that have a technology orientation.
