How to Become an Incubator Tenant

Criteria

All applicants are encouraged to complete an application packet and submit it to the LTTI for consideration. The following list highlights the items that will be reviewed to determine whether an application will be accepted:

• Technology.
• Business structure.
• Financial resources.
• Owners’ management experience.
• Business registration with the state of Louisiana.
• Business licenses.
• Prototype of the company’s product or service.
• Technical feasibility of the product or service.
• Market definition for the product or service.
• Intellectual property status.
• Ability to generate economic development in the Ruston area.

Application Information

All prospective tenants are required to submit a packet of information. This information consists of the following but not limited to:

• LTTI Tenant Application.
• LTTI Tenant Profile.
• Business plan to include 3 to 5 year financial plan and a 12-month cash flow budget. (If business plan is not available then a Business Concept plan can be submitted for the business plan. The Business Concept plan is usually no more that 2 to 4 pages and contains information on the description of the business, products, technology, or services offered, size and scope of target market, management experience, estimated financial performance projections and risks.)
• Information on company’s technology.

Application Procedure

Once you have compiled the application packet, please contact Dave Norris (dnorris@latech.edu) to schedule an appointment. He will review your information, clarify information and prepare your package for review.

Acceptance of Application

• All prospective application packets will be reviewed in a timely manner. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be made at the earliest convenience.
